WTF?
Well, it appears that we’ve passed through the looing glass. Today The Washington Times had an editorial by Sun baby and incredibly called for Hastert to step down from the House Majority Leadership position.
The story is enough but let’s use The Daily Kos to add some analysis of the media shaking position.
Here’s why I’m having a problem with all this plus conservatives jumping on this story as much as Democrats – why are they suddenly showing some integrity? Is this part of some grand scheme normally recognized as an October surprise? Why is all this coming out now?
Woodward’s book State Of Denial was easy; we all know why it’s come out now. The timing helps the sales. But, what I don’t understand is why Foleygate? Why now?
I’m actually afraid that the Republicans know something and the apparent silver platter snack is but an elaborate trick leading to a massive surprise October event.

Integrity
The years pre-Bush II have always included politicians with little to no integrity but it seemed that they were not always so blantantly intellectually corrupt. Maybe that was because there were so few outlets for those of us who were paying attention. At least there were so few outlets that you could trust. I’m sure that politicians and human nature have not changed in the last 6 years but what has changed is the visibility into who controls our local and national governments. The internet and sites like Daily Kos are changing the face of politics. It’s taken the makeup off to show us what they really look like. It’s given us the tool with which to fight them – visibility. Now, let’s look for those who are honest and kick the others out.
